The albums listed here were actually originally issued as compilation albums. Although they were released relatively soon after many of the songs were recorded or released elsewhere, The Yardbirds apparently did not consider them albums. (For example, in the sleeve notes to 'Roger The Engineer' (1966), Jim McCarty (obviously implying studio album here) says "Often criticized for doing something new, we've recorded an LP.")
